This Jonathan Binns was the first Men's Clerk of Ohio Yearly Meeting (Gurneyite). For some years, OYM(G) was called the "Binns" Yearly Meeting. He had a nephew also named Jonathan Binns who stayed with Ohio Yearly Meeting and became prominent in his own right.
Binns joined Friends at Redstone in 1827. He married (1) an earlier Eliza c. 1828 (MCD in Salem MM); she died in 1834.
