Amos Hough was the first Clerk of the Men's Westland MM, and as such was the first MM Clerk of the future Ohio YM.

Hough was a son of John and Sarah Hough. He was born on 12/27/1748 OS, the equivalent of 3/10/1749 NS.

Hough had relocated to the Redstone settlement by the time Westland MM was granted. He was appointed the first men's MM clerk. Later, it was discovered that his membership was still at Fairfax MM in Virginia, so that MM issued a certificate in 1790 transferring his membership and that of his family to Westland MM.

Hough served as the second librarian of the Redstone PM library 1787-1789.

Hough died before 3/1801, when some of his children transferred to Redstone MM.
