Tacy Miller Jr. joined Friends at Westland in 1792. She was active in Providence MM from 1831 until her death in 1855. She was appointed on 19 occasions to represent the MM at Redstone QM, plus six committees to nominate Friends to serve either as clerk or overseer and 11 other committees. Of her other appointments, the most important was her service on the committee that oversaw the Friends primary school.
