Elizabeth G. Vail was a daughter of Edward & Hannah Grissell, who were either not Friends or had lost their memberships. Elizabeth Vail joined Friends at Redstone in 1813.
Elizabeth Vail was deeply involved with business at Providence MM. She was frequently appointed to represent the MM at Redstone QM. She also served on many committees to disown various Friends and on committees to bring forward names of Friends to serve the meeting as either clerk or overseer.
