Mary Thompson was the daughter of John and Nancy Thompson. She joined Redstone MM by request in 1816. She was very active in the affairs of Providence MM, serving on eight transcription committees and being appointed to represent the MM at Redstone QM on five occasions.
After serving as Redstone QM's women's Assistant Clerk, she married West Negus and moved to New Garden MM, Ohio. The Negus family was Orthodox in 1828 and Gurneyite in 1854.
