The Gurneyites in Redstone QM were strongest in Redstone and only sustained a single other meeting, which was a small meeting at Westland. The non-existant Providence MM (G) was laid down on 5/5/1855. On 8/4/1860, the weak Westland MM (G) asked to be laid down, mentioning in its request that taking the action might result in the loss of Redstone QM, which would only have a single MM. Ohio YM (G) sent periodic committees to feel out the situation in Redstone QM (G), resulting in the decision in 1864 to discontinue Redstone QM (G). Westland MM (G) was laid down by RQM(G) on 8/6/1864, and the YM committee visited to officially lay down Redstone QM (G) on 11/5/1864.
