Uniontown Meeting was held near the village of Uniontown, later to become the seat of Fayette County. Friends in the area requested a meeting at Westland MM on 2/26/1791, which was granted on 9/24/1791. A committee was appointed by Westland MM on 7/23/1792 to find a suitable site for a meeting house. It is not clear what happened to the meeting; it may have been re-named Sandy Hill when that PM was granted in 1802. |
