The Grove FMH was constructed in either 1822 or 1823 on a parcel of land near the southeast corner of Section 32 of Butler Township. The 5-acre parcel was purchased by trustees in 1822 (Columbiana County Deed Book 8-294). At the time of the 1828 division, the meeting was entirely Hicksite. New Garden MM (H) was held here from 1847 to 1850. When Ohio YM (H) divided in 1850 between the main Hicksite body and the Progressives, Grove Meeting was entirely Progressive. It is uncertain how long the meeting continued. The Carhart, Mead & Co. Map of Columbiana County (1860) does not indicate the meeting house, although the Wilbur meeting (New Garden/Winona) is shown to the east. Today, the parcel is a vacant lot.
