The Kendal FMH was constructed circa 1814. After the 1828 division, the Hicksites continued to meet there. The Orthodox met in the home of Richard Williams until the late 1840s and then returned to the Kendal Meeting House because the Hicksite meeting had disbanded. The meeting house was in poor condition in the early 1850s, at which time only the Bowman family worshipped there. The meeting was laid down in 1855. |
