The meeting house was built here circa 1800 on land donated by the Gibson family. The meeting house was later torn down, and the site has been obliterated since. The marker on the accompanying map is an estimate of the location of the meeting house.

In 1867, Providence MM appointed two trustees to convey the Connellsville property to an heir of Thomas Gibson (Fayette County Deed 1-433); the deed did not provide a specific location of the property.
