The second Marlborough Meeting House was constructed in 1819. On 1/23/1819, the MM appointed Joseph Elliott and Joseph Brown to oversee the construction. It directed the MH to be constructed of hewn logs and to have the dimensions 12x24 feet with 12 6x6 windows.

After the 1828 division, the Hicksites and Orthodox both used this meeting house. The Orthodox discussed the construction of a new meeting house from time to time but did not have unity to proceed until 1840.

At the MM held on 1/28/1840, the Orthodox Friends agreed to build a new MH on the same property in the NW corner. They abandoned the second MH in 12/1840, leaving it to the Hicksites.
