Rebecca John was born in Monallin MM, the daughter of Joseph and Mary John. The family moved to Westland MM in 1801. Rebecca married (1) Isaac Griffith in 1813, but he died circa 1815. Rebecca then married (2) William McGirr in 1818. She and her husband became Hicksite in 1828.
