Letitia S. Griffith was a daughter of Samuel and Susanna Shaw. Her mother died while Letitia was a child. Letitia and her husband Israel Griffith were leaders of the Hicksite meeting at Westland. Letitia was one of the final members of the Westland Hicksite meeting. Her membership was transferred to Salem in 1864.
