The Fiduciary Trustees were established in 1924. The Meeting for Sufferings recommended the creation of the the FT, and Ohio YM approved it on 9/31/1924. The minute establishing the FTs stated:

It is the judgment of the meeting that a permanent board of Trustees be appointed, to be known as 'The Fiduciary Trustees of Ohio Yearly Meeting of Friends,' (held at Stillwater, near Barnesville, Ohio), and consisting of five members of this Yearly Meeting, to serve for the term of three years and/or until their successors are appointed; whose duty it shall be to receive and hold in trust all funds, securities, bequests, legacies, gifts or endowments that are in the nature of permanent funds that now belong to or are in the care of the Yearly Meeting, or of any of its committees, or that in the future may come to them; to invest such funds, collect the income therefrom and disburse the same in conformity with the terms and conditions imposed by the testators or donors, or as may be directed by the Yearly Meeting; and to make reports thereon to the Yearly Meeting each year as to the available income and such other information as may seem desirable or may be directed by the Yearly Meeting.
