The Sandy Creek Meeting House was constructed in 1806 when the worship was moved out of the house of Samuel Norton. Worship continued here until the meeting was laid down.

The meeting house was located east of Brandonville (in today's West Virginia but at the time Virginia). The burial ground was later expanded and became the original section of today's Union Cemetery.

The meeting house was demolished c. 1867.
