The Centre Meeting House was located three miles east of Brownsville, in Redstone Township. Its specific location has not been determined - the marker on the map to the right is an estimate of the location.

In 1798, William Silverthorne sold four acres of land for Centre Meeting to build a meeting house (Fayette County Deek Book D-80). Baltimore YM minutes of 1802 state that a new meeting house was built at Centre in the previous year.

It appears that the meeting house was log. The image to the right appears to be the Centre Meeting House, as shown on a post card from the late 19th century. The post card was discovered by Greg Hinshaw in 2012.

The meeting for worship at Centre was laid down in 1859, partially because the meeting house was in poor condition. In 1860, Providence PM partitioned the Centre property, creating four lots. The meeting house and burial ground were retained on one lot, and the others were sold as housing lots. It is not known how long the log meeting house survived.

The original property was purchased in 1796 (Fayette County Deed D-80); this property was sold by Providence MM in 1862 (Fayette County Deed 26-663).
