The second Pennsville Meeting House, made of brick, was expanded longitudinally. Its expansion was not structurally sound, and it partially collapsed on 11/9/1843 while Stillwater QM was being held.
The date of the last meeting for worship at Pennsville is unclear due to the loss of the Chesterfield MM minute book. The minutes of Pennsville QM suggest that worship was last regularly held here in 2/1920. No meetings were held due to an influenza outbreak in 2/1920 and 3/1920 (PQM 3/4/1920), and the QM reported on 2/24/1921 that no meetings had been held at Pennsville in a year. James Henderson held a called meeting here in mid-1921. |
