Pennsville QM existed for seven decades for Friends in Morgan and Washington Counties in Ohio. When the QM was established in 1854, it included three large MMs: Pennsville, Chesterfield, and Plymouth. The majority of the members of each MM moved to Iowa in the 1860s. Local meetings began to collapse near the end of the nineteenth century, including Plymouth MM in 1897. When Pennsville MM was laid down in 1904, the QM included only one MM, Chesterfield. Ohio YM appointed a committee to work with Chesterfield to sustain Pennsville QM, but in 1926 the YM laid down Pennsville QM and attached Chesterfield to Stillwater QM. |
